Hehe, yes, I guess, GPL compliance. I'll probably keep it updated - it depends how hard it is. Realistically, the reason I did it in the first place was teaching myself exactly how subversion works - all it took to create the master patch was to apply all my patches, then run the "svn diff | tee master.patch" command to generate it. I just thought it would be easier that applying everything one by one.
As far as building it - yes, it will be done in my next build. I'm waiting till they fix the MPEG player before I do the next build though. |

anyone knows how to solve this prob:
im using hclix blue with a unifont-supported font. Apparently, the menu doesnt have scroll bar on....that is, the fonts appear somewhere on the screen instead of scrolling like what it usually does. Also, can someone tell me what can i do to allow my wps to view chinese, jap and korean words? thanks in advance. |

Your fonts will be the problem with the asian character support. Make sure your codepage is correct first, though. I don't know much more than that about how to help with it.

Currently testing a new build, complete with the Pong patch and a synced version of ignore-the borrowed from the maintainer of an iPod build, tdtooke. Feel free to drop by his thread here:
http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?...1356#msg101356 to thank him for syncing the patch! All credit to him on that one. The setting can (or at least, will be when the build is up) be found in General Settings -> File View -> Ignore leading 'The'... Edit: Alright, new builds are up. You may have to reinitialise your database to make the ignore-the patch work, or maybe that is just me. To reinitialise it the brute force way, select reinitialise and then turn your player off. On restart it will do a complete rebuild. 5GB here: http://www.mediafire.com/?8dmmymtjbmz 20GB here: http://www.mediafire.com/?43zcmwcxcro Edit 2: And for those interested, the new master patch is here: http://www.mediafire.com/?81edy49dd3j Last edited by TheMono : October 25th, 2007 at 05:51 PM. |

BTW:
Is it true that the handling of the scrollpad is indeed more accurate than before this last change in the SVN (Improved H10 ADC driver)? From my point of view it's now quite easier aiming the right entry. Am I see this right? |
|
|||
|
Yes... The scrollpad is now more precise.
The biggest problem with the ADC driver was produced ESPECIALLY during the moments of the signal drop (Leaving the touchpad). Maybe you noticed that most of the times the cursor jumped one step down and not up. Sometimes the signal drop took so much time that the button driver was reading the adc again and found a value which still was in an area which was assigned to a "button-down" action and this mainly caused the jumps. With the new driver these unwanted values are eliminated. Generally there remains the issue that the adc-readout is quite noisy, so it can still happen that values jump up or down but this will only happen if you press the scrollpad near its middle.

Bug in Custom Line Position patch ?
Hi Mono.
I'm just designing a new theme and in the moment I'm preparing the menu screen. Using the Custom list position I'm getting in a small problem: This is my config in the cfg-file: listxpos: 10 listypos: 10 listlines: 9 listwidth: 91 Displaying the screen with the selection games, media, playlists etc. everything's fine. Games Media Playlists etc. Going back into the rockbox menu the screen is like this: Rockbox __Files __While playing __etc The step between Rockbox and the next entry increases the length of this row and the overall listwidth in this screen is 94 instead of 91. As a result the row marker and the text overshoot the right barrier of this menu field. I think to solve the problem the listwidth has to be conditioned with the starting position or the step in the rockbox menu should be removed. Are you able to do this or has this to be made with the patch tracker? Thanx AF |

As I recall, last time I was going through the thread on the custom line patch there were a few known bugs similar to this - I'll check what the state of it is in a moment.
EDIT: Yes, there are issues known which should be fixed in a newer patch version. I'll get you a testing copy sometime soonish. Last edited by TheMono : November 8th, 2007 at 11:49 AM. |

Oh that sucks. (Moving that is. LOL), thats cool. Hope everything goes well with your moving and all. No rush. I just tried the svn build, and it looks good still with the main theme i use, and all it's icons in its glory, so i'm cool anyway for now. Neat looking tuner stuff too!!! Hopefully the text is also skinable, so the tuner text doesn't look so basic, like rockbox did before adding art and picture support (B/W Days.)
