Decreasing battery life!!

Ok well basically the battery on my H10 (20g) has kinda sucked sinse rockbox... but i havent cared, but recently ive noticed that its being dieing really quite fast even though the battery life has been reported at 9 hours with angrymans latest builds. Also when i charge the iriver it charges abnormally fast.. like alot faster than id expect. I have the same problem with my sony ericson k610i but thats a different matter. The tag cache isnt loaded to ram and doesnt auto update or anything... the most i do is go and find a playlist and start it on a standard day and its down to half battery really fast. Im running a battery bench at the moment so ill get back to you soon with that. But does anyone know about the abnormal charging. And does shutting down and turning back on usually take up 2% of the battery life?

What kind of life are you getting in the OF? That would tell you about the battery life.

Try resetting Rockbox to default configuration.

You could try reformatting. Not sure why it would do that, but that would allow it to "reset" completely.

my battery is acting cranky too. after a full charge, somtimes I get 2 hours. Usually its less. original firmware works fine, and it says theres plenty of battery left. its a little odd, and Ive never had battery troubles before (besides what was expected with rockbox)

hmm, i cant believe that this is a software issue because most people report that the battery life is getting better (also mine).

I actually recently reformatted my player, hoping to possibly speed up rockbox a lil... but mainly to re organize everything: music, movies, pics...

Its happened since then... not sure exactly when it started.. but definately after that. (not saying thats why, just noting)
