Well, I just converted a .flv, it plays pretty good on my computer, so the encoding went fine.

Just uploaded new version - 0.3. I also added the screenshots back.
New in this version: - Ability to clear list (list also automatically clears after encoding. If you think this is a bad idea, please tell me) - Re-done encoding dialog. I really hated the old one. - Hopefully better A/V sync Enjoy!

And such is why I hate Rapidshare. I have to wait 5min between downloads. From now on TrueJournals, if you could email me a copy of the .zip files, that would be wonderful(my avatar@gmail.com). I will throw them up when I get everything downloaded.
Edited:WTF? It wants me to wait 31 minutes before downloading. |

Yeah I’m not that fond off rapidshare either. Sometimes it never works on my computer but then for some reasons works in college visa versa. Try using yousendit.com, xmailharddrive.com or even misticrivers upload gallery

I would like to host the files and some screen shots, as I'm upgrading the H300 archive site and will be putting extras and stuff on it.

4Shared is a great file hosting place with a gig of space each free. I'd be happy to host this in my space if you'd like a mirror... and I'm 90% sure there's no waiting time for the download link.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I've heard of most of the sites, and most have waiting times.. however, I had not heard of 4shared.com before (thanks iwantanimac), and I decided to sign up for that (seems like a great deal). I'm currently uploading the files, I will post the new links on the front page and edit this post (or reply if someone replies after this) when I'm done.
Kezza and anyone else who wants to share the program: I have no problem with you hosting the files on your own site as long as you give credit. A simple link back to this topic is credit enough. druidfire: I'm not sure if you've already uploaded the full version, but please keep the filename intact (I will always add the version number from now on). Also, it's currently version 0.3, not 3.0 :-p [edit]Just updated main post with links to 4shared that *should* work.

Wow. The progress on video in general on rockbox is amazing. And now this. I can't wait to see more updates for this. With my videos, it will start off in sync, then slowly go out, then just shut off. But I am very glad to see this progress, and know that it is actually possible. Despite the many many comments throughout the years of "NO VIDEO FOR H10...EVER"

Invader Bugs: Yes, the sync and non-rebuffering are known issues. But if it starts off in-sync, then I'm assuming the video is in-sync, just rockbox doesn't have good sync handleing.

Great work journals, longer videos work perfectly for me, but one short ones the video tends to be too fast, I think thats just rockbox though.

Please for future refernce, test the files on your computer (they're .mpeg files... quicktime, VLC, and pretty much any other video player will play them) to see if the audio is out of sync before saying that it's out of sync here. It's hard to tell if the audio is really out of sync, or if it's just rockbox, so I don't know whether to look into it or just ignore the reports..

okay, a question. i understand why sound is out of sync, but when i play files that are freshly put on the player, the have high pitched noises in them, they are fine when played on computer, this is solved by a power cycle.
My other problem is that after playing a video, trying to play it again freezes the player at the buffering screen. ( sry if this is the wrong thread, i didnt know where else to post)

This is the wrong place to post errors like this. Please make a new topic for problems with files being played on the player actually. Since you said that the files are fine when playing them on the computer, it is a problem with the mpegplayer plugin and not this program.
[edit]Version 1.0 is ready code-wise. It includes a VLC option as well as a settings dialog that lets you choose will detect if you have VLC installed, and if you do have it installed let you choose between VLC and mencoder (otherwise, you're stuck with mencoder). The settings dialog includes options such as output video bitrate, audio bitrate, fps, audio codec, video codec, and (VLC only) width and height specification. All settings are stored in an ini file. Now that you're all ready for 1.0... I can't give it to you yet. I'm having a problem with the VLC command line (VLC will open and just crash, if anyone thinks they can help.. I've posted details at http://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?t=32169). Once this problem is solved, version 1.0 will be released.

Sorry for double post, but wanted to alert people who are watching this topic... Version 1.0 is out! There is a new settings dialog that lets you configure almost every aspect of the output file. (Including choosing between mencoder and VLC, but please note that VLC is a bit buggy...)
Check out the first post to download it. In the next version, I hope to add a setting for "no" video codec and it will output a mp3 of the audio in the video. (And fix any bugs if they are reported).
