view all?
i changed to rockbox last night on my 20 gig and didnt really like it, mainly because i cant do a 'view all' to my music. i have my music arranged in cd folders since most of my stuff was ripped from cds. i really dont want to put everything into one giant 'music' folder just to be able to view all my music.
with the normal firmware its rather easy to view all music (music -> all or something like that). is something like that do able for rockbox? |

yes. you have to enable the database.
press the power button. pick display, file view, database, initialize now in the background it will essentially do te same thing as a database refresh on the old firmware. Wait awhile, usually less than an hour should do it, until the hd access has stopped. many wps themes have a hd access light. i hope my instructions are fairly clear. After it is done, turn off you player, and power it back on. then hold the back arrow, and use the touchpad to change the view files mode to id3tag. |
