Exclamation Volume explosion when battery gets down

Hi all,

got a nice problem yesterday.

Battery almost down.
While playing a track the volume increases up to maximum.
I pulled down my headphones and tried to decrease the volume - no chance.
Then I tried to shut down the player - no reaction.
Battery out and in. Player dead - but great fortune only low battery.

This was the first time having this kind of problem while battery is going down.
Anyone with the same problems ?

Yeah,

Classic problem with some players. From what I understood of Barry Wardell's ramblings, when voltage gets too low, the noisy scrollpad gets even more noisy and sends out the up, up, up! codes... If you're in While Playing Screen, that accounts for a not-so-nice increase in volume.

I think some 'gracefull shutdown' function has been added in recent CVS so that, below a certain level, it auto-shuts-down but I haven't tested for that. In a few days we may be lucky enough to have a new angryman build so you'll be able to see if it did indeed work.

Lightbulb Thanx, PaulPosition !

Thanx for this information.
I nearly thought this could be a hardware fault.
Was really kind of surprise...
