Hello.

I need some advice on what to do, a few drops of water hit my touchpad, and now it dosent work properly, the scroll up option only moves me one notch, then moves me one notch back, the down scroll is working only if I press hard on the downscroll.

So please, if you can help, all help and advice are more then welcomed.

I would suggest taking the battery (if you have 5/6gb player), and letting the unit dry out for a few days. Then check back and see if it is fixed.

leave it off, dont turn it on. If you aren't using rockbox on it then hit the reset button with a pin so it totally turns it off. This way the unit wont be sleeping and wont be getting power until you boot it up. I suggest putting next to heater not on top of it. The heat will dry it. If you get heat all day long then 24 hours should be enough. Try it back after 24 hours and then see if it works else give it another day with same process if it doesn't work still. Then your touchpad is screwed i guess =/

i guess sort of related... not a big enough deal to start a new thread: are they planning on further developing the touchpad for rockbox? i had to use the original fimware to record with the mic, and it reminded me that you used to be able to slide your finger down the pad and not use it as buttons. its no big deal just wonderin

I would like to have better support for the scroll pad in Rockbox (the same as in the iriver firmware). It's a matter of spending more time figuring out exactly how it works. At the moment, we only have a very rough idea, which is just enough to get it working as it is at the moment. Hopefully in time we will figure it out some more.
