I spilled Apple juice on my H10 and thought it was Rockbox

Hey all,
As you recall(or don't) I had a very annoying problem - none of the buttons in rockbox except for the touch pad and Hold worked.
Today I did a format and installed rockbox with album patch(thanks to angryman) and put the black glass theme.

It all worked fine for a couple o' minutes but then the touch pad started freaking out.
This is not unusual, I had some apple juice spilled over my h10 about 3-4 months ago, it was dead for a while but it came back to live with a freaky touch pad that always goes down.
It wasn't much of a problem with the original fw, just a bit of a bother, but everything worked fine.

Now, I figured out the problem - RockBox can't control more then one button at a time!
I'll elaborate - My touch pad is a bit freaky, but for short periods of time it works like a charm, as if nothing happened - When that happens, all the other buttons in rockbox like a charm.
But when my touch pad starts freaking out, None of the buttons seem to work.
Which led me to the above conclusion...
Can anything be done to fix this bug? I really want RockBox and it doesn't seem like the touch pad will be working ok soon...(And no, I can't replace it, i bought it about a year and a half ago and I can send it to hong kong but it will cose me a lot of money...).

Have you looked into getting a new touchpad from a broken H10? I have heard of others breaking there, so you might be able to replace it.

Use the regular firmware for an extended period of time. There could be a chance the touch pad is not working properly due to the spill.

Why of course the touch pad isn't working propperly due the spill...
The problem is, that because rockbox can control more than 1 "input" at a time, my "tiny" touch pad problem makes rockbox completly unusable! while in the original firmware it works fine, it's just annoying, but it's opertable all right!

If the original fw can control more than one "input" at a time, I can see no reason why rockbox can't do the same... it will make rockbox usable for me!

They are still working on getting Rockbox fully optimized. Right now it cant control more than one input, because most of us only need one input right now. We are more concerned with getting everything useable, rather than being able to hit two buttons at once. Most of us arent scrolling and pressing buttons at the same time, so I think this is a unique problem to you. Sorry.

Yeah, I don't see how this "requires Rockboxers immediate attention." Among other things, the direct cause is that you spilled Apple Juice on your player. Then, if you actually required developer attention, you'd think you'd actually make the attempt to file a bug report in the proper place.

I wanted to file a bug report first but the instructions wer'e pretty scary as in - "IF IT DOESN't have the following things"(like rockbox version which I can't acces cause I can't use rockbox..) and "IF IT'S NOT A BUG FOR THE ENTIRE PLANET" - don't file it...

On top of that, I didn't think that rockbox CAN'T control more than 1 input... I thought it was suppoused to, but some bug prevented it and I was the first one to discover it because of my "unique" problem...

I hate to sound harsh but because your touchpad does not fall within the baseline I don't think you will be getting any remediation any time soon. I dont know the difficuilty level behind it but I think you should consider replaceing the touchpad instead.

I can't even unscrew the tiny screw because no place on earth seems to have such tiny screwdrivers... and besides, If I had an H10 with a working touch pad I would use that one instead of the one without it, now wouldn't I?

"some bug" "bug report." It's pretty simple. But my statement was more to the topic of the post than the fact that you didn't file a bug report. This isn't even an official Rockbox forum, and yet you're pleading for help here. It just seems strange to me.

Also, where are you finding this whole "If it's not a bug for the entire world" thing?

If it isnt a bug for the entire world, as you have stated, why does it require immediate attention for the developers? I know it seems like we are jumping on you, but none of us seem to see it as a problem. From your post, I was expecting something along the lines of Rockbox bricked my player, and started arcing across the desk. Try asking in the buy/sell forum for a broken H10.

You are looking for hex screws by the way. I would check electronic shops.

I checked electronic shops they all say - "MAN THESE SCREWS ARE TINY!" =/

Again, I'm sorry for not being clear, I thought that RockBOx was SUPPOUSED to control more than 1 input at a time.

Not to get off topic - Did you try a jewler's screwdriver set? You might find one out of the set that can fit the screw.

I have a set like this, and no there aren't any screwdrivers that fit...
Although I will be going to a watch fixer maybe, watches have very tiny screws also, maybe a watch fixer can help me...

I am really suprised. Most laptops use screws that are about the same size. I have a precision screwdriver set, which has stuff this size, but not hexes. Maybe a precision hex set?

The H10 doesn't use hex screws, they use the almost impossible to find, expensive torx screws. I'm guessing this is to prevent people from opening it. I managed to take the battery screws out with a flat jewlery screwdriver, but I messed them up a bit.

You can buy torx screwdrivers for about £3 or £4 and they're not in any way difficullt to find, especially on the internet.

Really? I remember the only place I could find torx drivers in-store was a car dealership, where they sold them for about $10 each. I have never found a single torx driver and any hardware store.

I found my Torx set at Fry's electronics. A variety of sizes in a little plastic case for $7.

That is indeed a problem, I use the following method:
After I chose a song, I press up a lot until it goes to the desired sound level(about 35) and then I lock the keys with the hold button so it won't go down...
