ABOUT THE CURRENT BUILD
FINAL VERSION !!!!
This build is my third shot since the new WPS tokenizer
has been included into rockbox. The bug in the browser window
is fixed. Custom List Positioning is now included.
Thx to maxwen for his great work at keeping those patches alive.
The number of themes working with that build
is growing day by day.
******************** ******************** *
FOR THE FIRST TIME USERS
- Always select a theme by the "Browse themes"-menu item
- The safest way for a clean install is to delete the old files before
- Always backup your old files before
- Search in the forums before posting a question
- Your always welcome to ask if your search didnt succeed

YOU NEED A NEW BOOTLOADER: Get a proper bootloader here

Download current build: 5GB/6GB Version link 20GB Version link

Or browse all of my published files: Angryman's Public Box

AND... business as usual...
PLZ MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR OLD ROCKBOX FILES AND RESET YOUR PLAYER after the installation

Otherwise, you may get weird and unexplained problems when updating and if nothing helps you can switch back.
To reset your settings, you can either do so in the Manage Settings menu or switch hold on immediately after turning
your H10 on but before the Rockbox logo is shown. And also dont forget to select a mp3 file of a different album after
theme change (that forces the Album Art cache to be reloaded)

CUSTOMIZED DUALBOOT-LOADER! ONLY FOR 5G/6G UMS/MTP/Pure Models!!!

AS ALWAYS... USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK
To round up the appearance of your patched build (only 5GB/6GB models MTP/UMS) you can also
use one of the customized bootloaders which look like in the image above...
Just download the ZIP Package (given in the link a bit downwards) and rename the .mi4 file which
fits your model UMS or MTP to H10.mi4 and place it in your "System" folder...
Please make a backup of your working H10.mi4... Who knows maybe it doesn't work... If it doesnt work just
connect in emergency (USB) mode and copy back the backuped file.
The pure models should take the MTP version (should work but not committed yet).
The original code was from pijulius.THX for the permission to modify it.

Attention this link leads to a bootloader which isnt anymore compatible with the latest builds

5G/6G Custom_Dualboot_Load er MTP/UMS (RAR-file)

Have fun!!!

WPS Skins ZenPod Vision and ZenPod Vision black are updated now... Have Fun!!!

If you wanna batch your existing covers (in my case it were more tan hundred) use IrfanView:
Make a search for *.jpg in your music directory
OPen IrfanView and select batch conversion
Drag the files from the search result to the left side
Go to the batch/conversion menu
go to advanced
#################### #########
#ONLY NEEDED FOR ALBUM ART PATCH 4.03
#check "resize" and set size to 40px/40px
#################### #########
check the box "create subdirectories in destination folder"
Cleck OK and type in a the output directory C:/mp3/covers/
Name pattern: cover
Click Start
After batching drag the created folders back to the music directory...

Cheerio

I think there's some bug if you try to use the scrolling margins patch and the album art patch at the same time.

Ok, it is late, but tomorrow I should be hosting both the 5/6 and 20gb ones so we dont have to deal with upload sites.

File priority :
1. <filename>.bmp
2. <album>.bmp
3. cover.bmp

Size is limited to 100px/100px
Maxwidth can be given through the wps...

Priority has the album Art patch... This build is the first relativly stable build but the tagcache problem has to be solved. It's already fixed in one of the given patches but this one doesn't work right now. I will try to make a new modification of that patch building up on this one where the tagcache problem doen't occur anymore.

The problems which should be solved first:
- tagcache crashes
- unnecessary disk spins (Battery consuming)
- Some ogg-files crash

Its nearly the same thing as the created Cache from EasyH10. It stores your ID3 tags to browse easily and fast without reading your folders and files every time.

Maybe you should edit your first post, too then? Just a hint.

How many Album art supporting WPSes are there at the moment?

Hi,
I aam going to resize my WPS (Dimension Six Theme) for the H10. And now I have to know: Is the scroll_margins_patch in your build? Or has the Album Art to be put over or under the text?

I can't seem to find a WPS for the 20GB where the text doesn't end up being covered by the album art. Anyone else have better luck?

Those WPSs also require the scrolling margins patch in order to work. Look for a WPS that doesn't need the scrolling margins patch.

I meant add teh link to the front page so it was easier to find, rather than giving amessage telling users to look through the other page(s) of the topic - it might get bigger very soon, who knows.

Have you tried applying the scrolling margins patch? Is there any specific reason you chose the v4.03 of the album art patch instead of the new one? I'm trying to compile my own, and any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

sORRy, but i am very busy at the moment (university and job)... and the scrolling margin patch requires much more modifications than the album art patch... so i don't think i will make it maybe someone else...

However if the devs make it to get Rockbox 3.1 in november up all this should be solved automatically by the new viewports

I started up from 3.4 with the less modifications possible and then upwards to a stable version which 4.03 seems like...

Yes i tried the scrolling margins patch and this one looks ltoo much work for me at the moment...

I cant give anymore help as shown in the tutorial i released once (Tips and Links on WPS skinning)
I just do it that way... and the changes which have to be done (hunk failed) are obvious if you look through the code... (up to 4.03 they have been obvious^^) Anyway post me the file which you need and i'll mail it if you dont get it working...

BY THE WAY... Here's someone who already got the scrolling margins patch working
go here
