Scrollpad goes haywire in Rockbox

Is anyone else having problems with the scrollpad when using Rockbox?

I have great difficulty getting it to scroll down one item in a list. It will scroll down briefly, then jumps back up rapidly. This sometimes happens the other way round, but scrolling down is by far the worst. It scrolls OK if I keep my finger on it, but a quick tap doesn't always work.

I thought I might have stuffed the scrollpad by playing too many games, but when I reboot with the iRiver firmware it works fine. Also, the scrollpad works fine when changing the volume. It's just when browsing menus/files or playing games that it misbehaves.

I think it's because of the unfinished scrollpad driver. Mine is sually fine, but it's been acting a bit weird ever since I left it out in the rain.

Left it out in the rain???? lol that was silly =P

Yeah, the scrollpad is a bit erratic at the moment, but if you press it right at the bottom ( below the V) it seems to be more accurate. Same goes for the ^, too.

Oh well, just another thing to look forward to as the bugs get ironed out. Strangely it seems to be behaving better today, despite being the same Rockbox version it was yesterday.

We're still not really using the scrollpad to its fullest potential in Rockbox. We still need to do some more figuring out exactly how it works to use it to its fullest potential. Until then, you're best to just touch the top or bottom when using it as that is the most likely not to cause problems. Sliding along it like you can do in the iriver firmware doesn't really work yet either.
