Love Rockbox but want to upgrade my player

Can you help?

My h140 seems to be wavering on the brink of oblivion, so I think it best to get my Christmas order for a new player in now.

I'd like a player with the same line-in recording ability and a good size HD (40)? But I've been really spoiled with the flexibility of Rockbox and wondered if anyone can recommend a player which runs similar firmware?

It may be sacrilege to say it, but it doesn't have to be iriver...

Thanks

Tardy

what is going wrong with your h140? mine started playing up not long ago so just got a new hard drive for it and now it runs like new. it may be possible for you simply to replace the part. i have looked at the market and can't see anything i would have over a H140, which is silly as mine is now over 4years old (and still going very strong with new drive and new(ish) almost double capacity battery. the navi still works fine and i'm on rockbox. it might be cheaper to replace an iriver part for the H140 than buying a new player too. at rockbox you can see which players it supports.
