TagCache: update to tags already in database
I'm running RockBox build 060931-0035 in an iRiver H340 (or 'H360', i.e. modified with 60GB HDD). I've c.33GB of music, mostly OGG level 3.
I've initialised TagCache & stored it to disk, no 'auto update'. It works really well - stunning actually. My question is this: if I update a tag for an existing file (e.g. correct the spelling of an artist), is this picked up in the 'update now' process? The reason I ask is that: I can now spot inconsistencies of spelling etc. across different collections & would like to correct them. The manuals say that (as far as I can see) the 'update now' looks at added or deleted files. So what about changes to existing files, including changes to the file path. Many thanks!! |
