Customizable screens in Rockbox
Is there any plan to make screens (other than wps) in Rockbox customizable?
- Main menu: moving things like time, battery and other icons around (like a wps) - FM screen - Record screen I know the code can be edited to move stuff around. But is it possible to make them config file driven like wps? |

Customize is cool but it's sometime hard to do and you must understand that for the developper it's not the first thing in the todo list. Just because it's not very usefull in these cases.
But I agree to do a reorganization for the menus. I have an idea to do the organization of the menus more logical!! |

I have already produce a patch ( I am in the credits
But actually I spend my time on another opensource project And I must do a lot of things before having a useful rockbox developpement environment (I have changed my system from Windows to linux and I must learn how to install the good compiler --due to the system dependecies-- and learn to cross-compile for iriver H140 on this system). But some day when my other project will annoy me or could live without me |

The USB screen now is becoming customizable (at least if you can compile the source code), and Rockbox is soliciting USB screens/images, including as standard images. See http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?...cseen#msg53550.
