Save settings??

Yo...After about a few hours of tryin to get a stupid wps to work its prolly time to ask the experts...

Theres a wps im trying to use but it just refuses to work when i try to enable it from the themes...whereas when i open it up via display settings > Browse WPS
it works perfectly *mumbles darkly*

Ive searched around for a while but found nothing on this...so is there any way i could kinda...save those setitngs? cause if i use the browse wps setting it resets the next time i boot up rockbox so it seems saving the settings is the only way i can get the damn thing to work. is there any way of doing this? thanks

A theme is just a .cfg file. So, if you save a .cfg file when you get the WPS loaded the way you want it, you can reload that .cfg file later. If you move the .cfg to the /.rockbox/themes directory, it will show up when you hit "Browse themes."

For more information, check the "Manage settings" section of the Rockbox Manual.

Perhaps it would help if you told us what WPS you're trying to use.

1. Does the background image have the same name as the one that was in the original WPS?

2. Is the .wps file located in this directory on your player: /.rockbox/wps/KrazyandIgnatz-220x176.wps?

3. Is there a file on your player named /.rockbox/wps/KrazyandIgnatz-220x176/backdrop.bmp?

go to where you can "write .cfg file" and go in there. just press play (save) and this will save the settings. then if you ever need to load them you can just load that one. i think you need to go to "browse .cfg files" or "play .cfg files" (not sure of the actual menu option as it's off the top of my head) and load it up (press play or navi)

hope this is some help. or you can use the "search" option at the top of the page and type in "save settings".

4. Is the file a 24bit bmp file?
5. Is it 220x176pixels?

Dunno but the other one has 2 "?"s... I have no idea what that means but that's the first thing I noticed. So if a mod could merge these that would be sweet.
