New AIFF PCM codec

Hi folks!

This is especially for all the mac users.
I adapted the WAV codec for working with AIFF (Audio Interchange File Format) sound files. So I created a patch for a new AIFF PCM codec:
Sourceforge AIFF Patch, use patch -p1

It supports 8 to 24 bit PCM resolution, mono or stereo.
It doesn't work if there are big other chunks (like markers or instruments) before the sound data chunk in the file, otherwise it just skips them.
Compressed formats (AIFC) are not supported, but I think nobody uses them anyway.

Enjoy it.

great!

Wow. This is great! I'm a PC user, but I'm also a musician that records, produces, and mixes. This is great for listening to 24bit mixes and enjoying 24bit files on the go. I used Sound Forge to out put .aiff and chose not to save the meta data. The files work great, and the FF function works better than the flac codec. Great job!!!
