H3X0 owners, please be considerate with H1X0 users

Now that the sysops decided to divided the Rockbox area in different sub-areas, please if you are posting a new thread or topic related to RockBox, and you know that it applies to both units (H1X0 & H3X0), do something to make it stand so all users can notice and benefit from it.

If not the same thing is going to happen as with the main H3X0 and H1X0 message boards. For example in my particular case, there are lot of times where very good and useful topics related to both units are posted only in the H3X0 forum and then I miss those because is hard to see or find them among the huge amount of H3X0 posts that are not of my concern and interest. Is funny because I have found posts that apply more to the H1X0 than to the H3X0 but they are posted only in the H3X0 forum anyways.

Bear in mind, however, that when a user posts a thread in the H3xx section, they may not know that it also applies to the ihp-1xx DAPs.

After all, most H3xx owners don't have an ihp-1xx as well...

I see you point, but you've no need to post in every H300 ROCKbox thread to make your point known!

For everyone's reference, all of the functions/menu items on the H300 are the same as the H100. If you have any doubts about whether a function applies to the H100 series, you should check the WikiManual entry for that function. This should not be a big burden, because you should be doing that anyway before starting a new thread.

Questions that relate specifically to the H300 include:
-any questions about color;
-questions about WPSes specific to the H300 (note, general questions about the WPS may apply to H100 as well, but discussion about the larger H300 screen or the use of color are specific to the H300);
-bugs specifically related to the H300.

Obviously, H300 users may not always know whether a question relates to the H100 series as well. All we ask is that you consider the question when deciding where to start a new thread.

Edil, you have raised a very good point here, and I think that the point has been adequately made. I will watch for threads that need to be moved going forward. Feel free to PM me with any specific exxamples (and include a link to the relevant thread). I use Rockbox on both platforms so I have a good idea of where to place the threads.

Edit: Edit, when I wrote this post, I didn't realize just how many different threads you had pasted your message into. While I think that this thread of yours is very appropriate, it is inappropriate to copy and paste the exact same message into many different threads. I have deleted most of those posts.

Does this section still require posts to be approved by a moderator? If so it's really just incouraging people to use the specific forums. Your question could be answered in the specific foums before it has even appeared in this one.

It is still a moderated forum. The thread needs to be approved before it shows up. After that, individual posts are not moderated.

I'm not sure why it's moderated, but we mods don't have any control over that.

I think it would have been a deterent to try and cut down on the amount of repeat posts, before there was the specific H100 & H300 sections. It sort of works, the repeat posts don't go here...

Other thing i have noticed, this lounge dosen't add to your post count
