anyone have fwpatcher.exe
The rockbox wiki is down and I'd like to try installing this for the first time. Because the wiki is down I can't get the file

I'm not shure that was a good idea to try to install rockbox now because after patching the original firmware of iRiver, you have to verify the checksum of the file patched with a checksum given on a webpage of the rockbox wiki. Otherwise, you're not sure your patching file is good.

And with no wiki (shame on the #&@%*$£¤ crackers!!! That's the only things they have to do??!! ) , no security. So the better thing to do is to wait...

But you can still try to find this page in the google cache. I'll do it for you

The MD5 sum is checked by fwpatcher. There is no need to double check it unless you're really paranoid.

Thanks for the answers. If the patcher double checks the MD5 sum then I should be ok. Given that I'll be occupied with other things for a couple days I may put this off and wait and see if the Wiki goes back up.

(not that I wouldn't appreciate someone sending me the file anyway )

Someone could explain me? I understand why cracker. But why sex?
