Replaygain type. Choose the type of replaygain to apply: Album Gain. Maintain a constant volume level between albums, but keep any intentional volume variations between songs in an album. (If album gain value is not available, uses track gain information).Track Gain. Maintain a constant volume level between tracks. If track gain value is not available, no replaygain is applied.Track Gain if Shuffling. Maintains a constant volume between tracks if Shuffle is set to Yes. Reverts to album mode if Shuffle is set to No.So probably "Track gain" would be your choice in Rockbox' General Settings | Playback. My preferred setting is "Track Gain if Shuffling", because I either listen to complete albums or make the player shuffle through a playlist of tracks from different albums (often through my complete music collection). Sorry, I can't help you with that. What do you mean "don't conform"? Last edited by kpbrunswick : March 13th, 2007 at 07:25 AM. |

If you have used earlier versions of foobar or tag applications which have written to your tags in ISO-8859, and now use foobar v.9 it means that you will have a mix of UTF16 and ISO 8859 code in your tags, this isn't an issue as long as your applications and hardware are happy with this. To maintain consistent tags I always use foobar v.8 to apply RG to my music, that way I am certain that my tags are ISO-8859, and am certain that rockbox will read them, no doubts. I like consistent tags. Also ensure with foobar v.9 that you write to the correct tags, it must be to ID3 v2 or V1 (V2 is the preferred tag anytime) for rockbox to be able to read them. rockbox doesn't recognise ape tags. sorry for the late response, almost a year, ah well guess better late than never
