Installed Rckbox, or so I thought, can't get it working, just iriver firmware

I just installed rockox and followed the instructions to the tee, but can't get the firmware to work, rebooted teh player, and still comes up with teh old iriver firmware. I did the following:

DLed teh zip file
extracted to the H1xx root
unpluged player
turned it off, then on

Just as the instructions said. Help please

Have you downloaded official iriver firmwared, fwpatcher.exe? Then patched the official firmware .hex, (checked MD5 sum) then copied that to the iriver then flashed?

You should unzip so rockbox.iriver in is the root, and \.rockbox directly off root, with files and more dirs under that.

ok?

Same goes here. If you can not download and follow the instructions on the RB site then the firmware is not for you yet. Wait until it is in the beta stage and comes prepackaged in a foolproof single sized serving.

That's the correct page.

1) Download one of the verified firmwares (with the tick)
2) Download fwpatcher.exe
3) Uncompress firmware
4) Load fwpatcher.exe, browse and open .hex file in the patcher util. Patch
5) Download a MD5 checksum utility, check the checksum matches with the ones on that page *. If it does proceed
6) Copy the .hex file to the iriver, flash as you normally would.
7) Connect to PC, delete .hex from the iriver.
Download daily build, unzip and copy to the iriver.
9) If you want to build database up, download songdb.jar, copy to root. Open DOS command box type in
java -jar d:\songdb.jar d:\
You need Java to do the above. Move the newly created index file to \.rockbox
Disconnect, reboot iriver and should work. To enable DB go to file view and set to ID3 database.

* I'm pretty sure the 1.65 Korean is wrong MD5 checksum, as that's before you patch the file (afterwards its something else)
