may sound like a stupid question but i could find anything on the rockbox site, also its just to be safe.

Just copy the daily build over the old files and replace the old ones. This is the easiest way to do an upgrade. Your settings are stored and things like the database are kept safe. This works for me very fine!

A recent CVS comment mentions that the config version has been bumped, and to write your config to a file before upgrading to tomorrow's daily build.
