Buying From Amazon UK? - Save a couple of quid...
New buyers at http://www.amazon.co.uk are currently being offered a 3GBP discount voucher...
As a former customer, I registered as a new buyer, using a different email address, different initials and a different credit card, although obviously the initials and surname on the CC tallied with my original registration name. It seems that their system may check for a match in the customer name and email address and possibly the CC number... not the CC name and address... or the delivery address. Their website then states 'Verifying you as a new customer, we will be in touch, etc.' type of message. Within 24 hours I was emailed a discount code for the aforesaid 3GBP. Not a vast amount, I grant you but far better for it to be in my pocket than in theirs! It meant that the Sony EX71SLb phones cost me 22.46GBP with free postage... Saving 3.53GBP (inc.vat) on the free delivery price. Those reading this who deplore such shockingly dishonest chicanery can perhaps derive some comfort from the fact that my conscience has been troubling me ever since I committed this fraudulent act... Please believe me! <grin>
