http://www.apple.com/uk/ipod/ then you can clearly see the font as dark blue |

People have been messing about with the contrast menu on the ipod in the factory settings menu and found that effectively you can get black , white and if you turn up the contrast, the black goes more and more blue. A few crazy people thought that this meant that the new ipod had a secret colour screen in it to start with!

Looks like the old iP*d's screen was just a tad crap. The new one looks real lively though

The font used by Apple on, well, everything they make it seems is Chicago - which you can certainly get for Windows, etc. Anyone feel like making their iHP iPod-like? <Starts running for the hills at a fast pace!...>

It's definitely blue. And they're still using the same font & menu system they used to have on those early GUI single-unit Macs (remember them?).
In case you don't... (we used to have these at college in the late 80s - they were the latest thing! ![]()

I would have thought that the way things go with public use and popularity that if the iRiver had got in there first with their MP3 player they would be the name rather than the iPod. But then again they relaunched themselves with this whole new style, so the iPod goes with their "funky" new machines.
To me and a few friends at work, the iPod looks like a plain bar of soap! My boss saw some of the stuff I was looking at and went out and bought his own! He uses it torment me whenever I go in the office... Hmm. I'm saving up for one see.... Oh well. The iPod is also a "hot" item for theft, while the iRiver is reasonably unknown in this neck of the woods. Besides, everything I am listening to on the road I'm using headphones of my own type which rules out the theft element too... Ooh I can't wait for the end of the month! |
