iriver iHP/H120 Now Available! Again...
Do you remember the iriver iHP-120? Back in October 2003, it was considered an "iPod Killer" and for good reason. A multitude of features, tremendous sound quality and a build quality that was unmatched. Thanks to a fairly recent "unloading" by iriver america, the iHP/H120 is available again for those of you who need the ultimate hard drive Digital Audio Device. The units for sale are Brand New and come with a 1 year warranty straight from iriver america. These are "white box" units which are not retail packaged but include, the iHP/H120, USB Cable and generic earbuds. Couple this baby with Rockbox firmware and you've got a player that is unmatched in quality and features. If you really need a bargain, mention "misticriver" in your order comments area and receive an additional $20 off the retail price!
Available now at The iriver Store ![]() ![]() |

"Need" had preciousp little to do with it. The H100 was my first choice when I started shopping for my first DAP, but it had been discontinued by the time I made up my mind, so I got the H300--which was great.
But...these got released.... Me saw... me wanted... me rationalized until: Me ordered... me paid... me has it: Me Beloved...... Now--give us the room..... Jeez I've gone giddy! (-er) The price was/is too damned good to pass up and the one I got was cosmetically perfect and seems to operate just fine. My advice: Get it. Get it. Get it. Get it. Get it. Get it. Get it. Get it. Get it. Get it. Get it. Get it. Get it.

I ain't been put here to be a good example..... I love everything about this machine, so far: it looks like a serious piece of gadgetry; sounds like same; built like a... uh... brick-sh*thouse, as they say; almost perfectly sized for the hand; dedicated power button; fast transfers; no software; RB-portable; etc. All my DAPs have a place with me, but the H120 is gonna be my primary for hi-fi and car use. The 'pod is gonna be used @ work.

I've still got a H120, it's pretty awesome, but I must admit the controls are a bit awkward. I found the H320 easy to use (after reading the appropriate parts of the manual). A H340 would be very tempting!

It is amazing that players on the market probably 5 or more years ago and have since been discontinued are gathering so much excitement and interest with a release of some avilable models.
Says it all about where the manufacturers of these players (iriver) and other ones in todays market are missing a trick somewhere. Large capacity, lots of features and functionality with great sound quality, seems to me that these are the basics, so why are they not happening any more? I dont even believe they are a niche product, throw out players like that for £250 -£300 and they would be snapped up, I am positive about it. I guess thats why many h100 and h300 went to the ipod classics, owing to the large capacity, but as rockbox shows, the hardware (not in the classics case obv) could do so much more. |

If you don't have an H120, for $139.00 with the discount, for a brand new player brought back from the past, well I don't know what to say.
No self respecting TRUE iriver afficionado would be without one, and if you were not lucky enough to get one when they first were available, now you have no excuse.

hmm I could use another player to store the rest of my collection, since my 340 is only 40 gig. I know a lot of people would say "but you cant listen to all that" but with the variety of my collection I have my music "moods".
Sounds like the deal is too good to refuse. When will Iriver realise that 120G+ players could win large market share |
