EQ disturbing noisses

Hi,

I am using the normal EQ just because, all the other EQs fail at some songs, like:

ulver-lyckantropen remix(the third eye foundation)

a very bassy song(deeeeeeeep bass) and with all EQs except the normal EQ setting (0/0/0/0/0) the player can't play back the music cleanly, it sounds very disturbing, what kind of problem is this? a firmware or hardware prob? I read at rockbox.org that there is a bass problem with the x20.

Hi I find that changing the eq often makes the songs distort at some point during the tunes, which is a shame

yes, the normal EQ is really good at the x20 but that distortion sound was never a prob at the h10, there were not that disturbing scratchy tunes in really deep bass sections.

just test it, rock and classic EQ are worse, but jazz also failed at playing "critical" songs correctly.

this is really a shame, shouldn't happen anyway.
