Thinking of buying an X20, readme.

Hope this helps someone. I've been into music for years, dl mp3's for years, never had a portable player. So why the x20 for a 'muso' like myself.
1. If you are a PC user, whatever you read about the dial and select interface, who cares...it's intuitive and easy. Use it as a flash drive or whatever, it's drag and drop stuff.
2. It has a stereo line in. Which means if you are at a mates house, and he's playing the s**t, plug it into the mixer, you have 100 plus hours of 128kbs stereo to record. And i've recorded my own mixes (dj). Usually i use an maudio card and pc...but straight recording on the x20 and then immediate playback..sound quality is AMAZING!!! Really...better than my 300 dollar soundcard...I am stoked.
3. Field recordings. You need a self powered mic if using a mic in the line in. And thats about it> choose your own mic...they can be expensive...30-40 bucks...but recordings of conversations are far more enlightning than a posed photo...
4. X20- you rock!!! But the dial does need bigger catches for mammoth fingers like mu own...(im 6'4") I work in IT, and i've never been more stoked with a bit of gear than this...better even that XP service pack two ( hahaha) well done.guys...maybe higher audio output (cowan reckons theres is 70mW at 16ohms but i'm skeptical, especially with battery life on those units...)

Happy Shoppper!!!!!

It's mostly agreed it is a good player, the wheel never bothered me, and it does loads of stuff and really well. It's just those couple of niggly little issues they can't or can't be bothered to fix. The EQ sound issue and rebuilding library issue with SD cards. If they sorted those it is almost the perfect portable player.
