X20 video conversion
Hello to everyone,
I'd like to ask you one question - I've got iRiver X20 4GB and tried to convert some of my videos from the Canon Ixus digital camera using the iRiver Plus3 software. Everything worked just fine. But then I tried do the same thing on another PC and some problem occured - trying to run the video conversion in Plus3 causes an error. It says something like "Unable to convert the file because codec doesn't exist". Well that can be true - but where can I get the right one? I've searched whole CD included and found nothing like that there. So which codec do I have to download and install to be able to use the movie conversion tool in iRiver Plus3? Thanks to all for answering. |

The first step for you would be to find out which codec your camera uses to encode it's movie files. You'll probably find out by either reading your camera manual or by going on canon's website and reading the camera's technical information.

Thanks for answering but codec for the camera is of course already installed. My opinion is that the Plus3 software is missing the codec needed to encode the movie for X20. I was surprised a lot because the codec cannot be found on the CD included in the X20 package.
