Compatible with Mac?

Is the iriver X20 compatible with Mac at all? Does it appear as removable drive?

If not, is there software to use to make it compatible?

(I'm running Mac OS 10.3.9 on a iMac (not Intel) but the model before Intel.)

it is MSC compliant, so it will show up as a removable disc in your mac.

What will the downside to just having at as a removable drive? I should be able to just drag and drop .mp3 files and it will play them right?

no downside compared to MTP, except you won't be able to buy subscription music...

When you unplug it, the X20 will rebuild the database and be ready to go (a few of us had players that froze when rebuilding the database, and had to send back, but it seems we are the exception, not the rule....)
