x20: artists and songs all the same

Hi All,
my x20 is only a couple of months old and after charging yesterday, all my songs and artists were the same. The player still recognises other song titles, because whatever song is playing when i turn it off, is the name of all the songs and artists when i turn it back on again!!! when i go into browse device, a file called DevLogo.fil is the only thing thats there!! I have seen that other people have this problem, but the posts dont actually say how to fix it!!
I have tried taking the battery out a few times, but I cant figure out how to fix it!
Any help would be great!
Thanks

ok - I formated the internal memory - in the Advanced Settings.

I think it screwed up when I copied songs from an Apple mac.
