the X20 speacker
hey people im thinking about getting myself a x20 but im still wondering about the speackers do they work like a psp where u take out the earphone cord and the speackers will start making noise
im worried about this because i tend to listen to music in classes and if all of a sudden the cord pulles out and then the speackers start playing music that would get me into some deep s*** |

ye, the speaker goes on automatically than. This shouldn't be a problem though, as you have to increase the volume to hear the speakers. If you listen in classroom on volume 20- (1/2 of max or below), no one will hear it when the cord pulles out.
The speaker IS loud enough (I guess around 60-70 dB) in a room (not outside) at volume 40. (but volume 30 is also listenable). |

The only problem with the speakers is that the left speaker (holding the player with its ports down and the speakers towards you) is considerably quieter than the right one.
Some say it is designed this way on purpose, to emulate stereo effect with the minimal stereobase the player can provide. However, I find it annoying and unintelligible. The thing would have sounded twice as loud had they fixed it. |
