Dust on internal screen

Did anyone experienced dust on the internal screen ? I was surprised today to see that my left side of screen is dusty. Should I try to remove the plastic package and clean it ?

When I look at my screen I see what looks like a pixel size bit of distortion under the screen or perhaps even a part of it. It's not a dead pixel it kinda looks like a bit of dust. I am not going to risk opening it up to remove it though because the speck is really only visible when I hold it up on an angle and under bright light.

I just noticed some dust under the screen of mine too. It's a pretty visable chunk so I'd like to remove it but I don't want to risk damaging my new player
