Angry iriver australia - useless customer service

so as some of you may remember, i had a faulty x20. 3 weeks ago now, i sent it back in to the office in my town (brisbane) who confirmed my player was indeed faulty. they told me i'd get a new one sent to me (from melbourne), 14 days tops.

called at the 14 day mark to complain, after still having not received anything only to find that no one from melbourne had sent anything yet. the brisbane office got them to send one "the next day" which i should have received on friday. still nothing. left a message with the national service manager outlining how horrible the service was. received an email today saying they'd send one tomorrow.

wait a minute, wasn't tomorrow supposed to be last thursday? like seriously... how hard is it to send up a replacement for a faulty player (that is, one in which i had no part in causing to malfunction).

pathetic. i am so frustrated. i emailed the national service manager expressing my anger and basically told him i didn't care if he called/emailed back because really... i don't care what excuses they can come up with.

basically, iriver australia = hopeless. don't bother dealing with them.

damn, that really sucks. Sounds like the problems I have had with Telstra in the past. I feel your pain - it's so frustrating not being able to get through.

I had a faulty X20 too, froze up and didn't work - I just took mine back to JB Hi Fi and they gave me a new one on the spot, didn't even ask questions. It was great. I got a new player within an hour of finding out the old one didn't work. Sorry - don't mean to rub salt in your wounds... I was just lucky this time.

After the trouble i've had with Toshiba and Telstra in the past though, I was in line for some luck.

Im sure your talking Cr Kennedy, we had nothing but positive remarks about them in the past, but no companies perfect. Guess you got em on a bad day, er 3 weeks.
