Umlauts!
I don't know if this is an issue which many people would have a problem with, but I was just wondering, and it would be good to know...

The X20's font does not appear to be able to read umlauts. For those of who who don't know, umlauts are the two little dots which can appear above vowels in some languages (eg German).

I noticed when I uploaded some Björk that it displays as Bj%rk! This is quite ridiculous in my opinion, especially as the player actually supports German as a native language...

I've emailed them, so hopefully there will be a change in the next firmware update.

Don't hold your breath.

There have been plenty of times in the past when people here have contacted iRiver about far bigger problems than umlauts and they just don't listen.

I heard that 1.04 fixed some fonts. Maybe you need to upgrade firmware?

Chinese script can be displayed normally by editing the tracks information with iriverplus3
