Lightbulb Share Your Equaliser!

I saw a similar thing on another website and thought it might be a good idea here.

Why don't we all share our equalizers (values of) so we can make the perfect sound come out of the X20?

Mine is:
+5 +3 +6 +8 +4
60 360 1k 6k 14k Hz

Only problem is reduced battery life, but I can live with that.

Use this:
+3 -4 -8 -3 +5
60 360 1k 6k 14k Hz

I use this, absolutely NO BASS-CRACKING, Not as loud as all the others but quality is greatly improved. I played with the EQ for 3 hours, I know all about it

Holy shit, you're cutting a lot of mid there! I wanna be able to hear my piano accomaniments mate!

However, i'll give it a shot as this bass crackling is a real pain in the arse.

Yep. Got that right. Also may I suggest the type of earphones you use (standard, in-ear, clip-on etc.)

you'll probably all cringe at mine...

+2 / -2 / +3 / +8 / +5 !!!

this is only for my commute on the bus though... i have senheiser px200s but underneath those i wear a pair of ear plugs... keeps all the damn bus noise out, and my ears aren't punished by the higher volumes (usually 35ish with this setup) i have to set to compensate. muddies up the sound a helluva lot though, hence the boosted top end! i listen mostly to jazz and classical music.

at uni i just use the normal setting. no ear plugs

dont wanna have to carry around massive headphones, and not a fan of in-ears (not to mention expensive!)

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I use a pair of in-ear i got with my sony ericsson w300i phone. The cable was way too short so i made a little extension and i'm very pleased with them. I use the train for long distances very often and it would be hell for me if i didn't have these things. So, did my EQ prove usefull? it's not locked in place, i mean, you can play with the mids but with my earphones it gives a bit of a 3d sound if you cut some mids out.

This is most close to my eq , but all this depends of headphones ! i`m using Etymotic ER-4p
http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er4.aspx

And my eq is:

+7 -3 +5 +8 +6 , and depends on melody +7 goes to maximum and also +6

P.S Basic Headphoes sucks , why they are deliver somne junks ? I would`n do that if i was a producer of mp3/4 player ! It`s my company image , and i will deliver only with performance headphones (not so expensive) , the sound it`s the firs contact with the customer !!!
