that means that after a firmware upgrade it might be even longer as 20 hours

Multiple persons reported it does indeed work for 20 hours+.
I use the integrated speakers most of time, and I select a song often. I get the idea this make the batteruy life shorter (10 hours)..

I can't find any setting on my X20 to do this. I think it just goes down low.

For me, this isn't a huge problem - but I reckon it's something which can easily be fixed in a firmware update with a bit of begging!

As for battery life with the built in speaker, I get the impression that it drains it a little faster too. Mind you, when i'm using the speaker, i'm never far from a power source. If i'm travelling i'm almost always using phones...

Yes, i guess a firmware update could fix this backlight problem, and it would improve battery life.

Should be nice if we are able to change the battery to a longer play-time battery

Anybody know if able?

I have just found a replacement battery on ebay: 850mAh li-ion, but no more information about it, it doesn't mention if play-time is longer than the original one.

it needs to know how much power that originals has, if they are less than 850mah ,then this battery will last longer

better check someone who has x20 out to battery and say us

My battery doesn't last very long because I keep on watching videos with the internal speakers on................

But I got an average of 20 hours playback (192-320kbps MP3 file, volume 20)

It's a bit hard to judge as every time you connect via USB it charges

I read at a swedish forum that it says on the battery:

"3,7V Lithium Ion Battery
[ _ _ _ ]

* The charging current should not be highter than 700mA."

I don't own one myself but i'm thinking of buying one, though the SQ worries me a little.

It was the Iriver nordic forum: http://forum.iriver.se/ and no, it's not very much discussion about the X20, it was just me who asked if I needed a special battery or if I could get one in the phone shop (since Iriver X20 is only released exclusive on one internet shop, the official swedish Irivershop, with no accesories in sweden)

EDIT: See thread under "upcoming models" but it's in swedish though. ^^

This applies to every single type of battery on this planet:

The VOLTAGE must be the same as the original battery (in our case, 3,7V) but the AMPS may be as high as twice the original battery, any higher and your choice. In our case, from 700mAh you can get up to 1400, even higher but i don't really recommend that.
