X20 and Text Files?

Hey, just trying to work out how to use txt files with my x20.

I read throuhg specs (online) and it says there that the x20 supports txt files. However when i tried uploading a couple nothing worked at all. I even tried using iriver plus 3, but that didnt work either.

Txt not supported then? or am i doing something wrong.. usually playing text files is very very simple on irivers, but this is just getting annoying.

Alright, would have been nice considering most irirver products have txt support.

So i assume this is wrong: http://www.minidisc.com.au/iriver-x2...?display=specs

Probably through File Browser, or as an extra main menu option. But chances are iriver will never include this for the X20.

Hi guys! oh come on, there's got to be a way to put text files on X20 since it has the ebook function in the iriver plus 3 software. I've been searching for about a month for an answer. Please help thanks!

iriver plus 3 is an universal software that is shared with other iriver models (like Hxxx and E10). The ebook function is one of those that are not for X20. As reverendbert had said, it can only be done if iriver decided to support it in the future firmware.

myep...you're right. But still, the b*st*rds say that it is text compatible in reviews and product specifications I really hope they'll add this feature, although I seriously doubt it.

X20 & text files: When you want to upload .txt files to your X20 you have to use the ebook selection in iriver plus 3.

I'm not sure exactly how to find it when you're looking for it on the X20 but try this: main menu, browse device, internal, config??

Hope that helps. Would like to know if that's successful

Again, it doesn't matter where you put it, the player's firmware simply doesn't read txt file, as far as I know.
