x20 noob question: how do i turn on shuffle

just a really noob question
i cant find shuffle on the iriver and i cant find repeat..
do i have to set it up on the computer?
and ive also tried adding playlist but i cant get it to work
i've read other post but it's telling i need windows media player 11, can i do it on the iriver program that comes on the CD? ( i think its called iriver 3 )

plz help.. im really lost

OK...enlighten me. I am struggling to find even the shuffle option...

You can change the shuffle and repeat function either when music is playing or not.

Jump into the main menu, scroll around to settings and select, then scroll down to sounds, then scroll down to play mode, you have the option of OFF, Repeat one, shuffle, repeat, and shuffle + repeat. I leave mine on shuffle + repeat.

That thread is almost useless...I use Winamp to make my playlists. I've made a thread about it but no one has responded to it, here's the LINK. All you do to make a playlist, is add songs from your x20 to Winamp and then save the playlist to your Playlist folder in your x20. The x20 will read .m3u playlists. Ever since I made that thread, all my playlists have worked without a hitch. And don't be alarmed if it takes an unusual amount of time to load the player up after you unplug it from your computer. The more playlists are saved, the longer it will take. I guess playlists take longer for it to build the database. Also, don't be alarmed if the little hourglass freezes, give it a couple minutes for it to load, all depending the amount of playlists saved.
