T60 - playing folders in alphabetical order

Hi,

I have had the T60 for a while now, and like it a lot except for two problems.
First, the joystick which is really poor, but nothing can be done about it, so I will have to live with that.

Second, I am having difficulties getting the player to play the music in the order of the folders on it. I am not asking for much, merely to play the music in the alphabetical order of the folders; from a to z; Abinoni to Zani. I don't use playlists, I don't use shuttle. Now with my old Zen Creative flash player this was simple, but not so with the T60, which shows folders in the order in which one puts them on the player NOT in alphabetical order.

I realise this issue has been raised before here, and recently too, but I would like a solution which does not involve using iriver plus 3. (Actually, with my short uphappy experience with this software I couldn't fix it either, but that is beside the point since I've taken it off my computer because I can't see why simply drag and drop using windows explorer shouldn't be sufficient. I just don't need all the bloat of iriver plus 3 since Foobar meets all my other mp3 coversion, ripping, playing etc etc needs perfectly).

In short, my question can I use windows explorer to arrange my files on the T60 to play in alaphetical order, not in the order the date they are put on the machine. Or can I use any other software EXCEPT iriver plus 3 to do it?

thanks in advance for any help,

J

The issue has been discussed here: T60 File Order Issue
To quickly answer your question: no, Windows Explorer will not do this and iriver plus 3 is the only software that I know of that will do this.

Well iriver 3 plus seems to do bad things to my system so I don't really want to install it again (for the third time). If I do install it what do I do in iriver plus to make the folders play alphabetically. Last time I looked, I couldn't even manage to do that.

In the bottom part of the screen, at the left where the folders are located, you right click on the Music fold and select "Change Play Order".
