T30- pure UMS playlist darn that was hard
I couldn't find a clear answer on how to make a playlist for a UMS converted T30 several easy steps.
Get LJConvert http://www.cerebus.de/iriver/download.html Get Windows Media Player, Winamp, Media Monkey, Whatever will make a M3u playlist and generate a playlist for your songs. Save it someplace easy to find, for example in the playlist folder on your t30. Open the m3u file with wordpad and fix the Absolute file names to relative file names for example on the t30 your music files are in "music/Queen/A Night At the Opera/Bohemian Rhapsody.mp3" WMP saves the file as "F:/music/Queen/A Night At the Opera/Bohemian Rhapsody.mp3" so you just fix whatever is wrong in this example I would get rid of the F:/ and I'm golden. If many files are named incorrectly use Edit Replace to fix them all. Save the file Using LJConvert add the source playlist and then change the target path to the playlist folder on your t30. Voilà you have playlists once again. Any suggestions on how to make this easier please suggest away. MattBatt |
