T30 Recording Help please.....
I've had my 2gb T30 for a couple of years now and have loved it for recording dj sets thru my mixer. I recently purchased a new mixer, a Rane Empath rotary, and am having a tough time figuring how to record through it.
In my apartment I have everything running through a receiver, so the mixer is attached to the receiver via the AUX IN RCA jacks. I have always attached a 1/8" to RCA cord for my old mixer, but the problem is that there aren't any other RCA jacks available on the new mixer that will work. I tried the AUX OUT jacks and it recorded silence. On my new mixer there are available BOOTH jacks (1/4") and the MAIN (XLR). As you can probably see, I am embarrassingly bad with these sort of things, so any help would be appreciated. Is there a cord available that I can attach to my IRiver to connect to the two available 1/4" jacks? |

Two things to try
First and easiest 2 rca y-cables male to 2 female half goes to your amp the other half to your t30 second yes they do make two 1/4" to 1/8" jacks as well as two xlr to 1/8" You want female XLR 3.5mm xlr, Pro Audio, Musical Instruments items on eBay.com I checked around everyone is selling wrongly wired cables or is charging WAYYYYY too much B&H wanted $60 for the cable. |
