T10 not recognized by new hard drive

Thanks in advance for your help BTW...

I have a T10 that up to this point has been simply wonderful. However I recently needed to replace my harddrive and now the computer will no longer recognize the player. Too make matters worse, I have no idea what I did with the software that came with the player. I'm not the most skilled at finding solutions to these kinds of technical issues. Can any of you help? I'd love to start using it again. Thanks again...

It doesn't have anything to do with your hard drive. Also, you don't need any software for your OS to recognize the player. Windows XP already has the necessary drivers.

Thanks for the assistance...I have solved the problem. Found some info on the 'net suggesting that when faced with this problem, unplug any devices using a USB (in my case, the printer) and it may just solve the problem. I did just that and sure as heck, the player appeared as a device in WMP.
