Cannot Sync My WMP Playlists to my T10
Hey all.
I had a 1 gig T10 that I would run with and it worked perfectly with my Windows Media Player 10. I was able to sync not only the music but my Windows Media Playlists. Unfortunatly, during a recent run, I fell and broke it. This time I got a 2 gig T10. My problem is this. Now I canont sync any playlists from WMP10. The music just lists. I cannot pick and choose my playlists. Has anyone else had this problem? DOes anyone knowhow I can fix it? Thanks. Sam |

One question, what firmware version is your 2GB using? You can find out for sure by checking on the player by going to Settings->Advanced->System Info.
I have read on previous posts that the 2GB T10 requires WMP 11 as opposed to WMP 10. However, I am having no problems whatsoever transferring playlists to a 2GB T10 using WMP 10 with firmware version 1.71 MTP. Other programs that also work include Winamp and Media Monkey. If your 2GB T10 is UMS then WMP, whether 10 or 11, will not be able to transfer playlists because iriver uses a proprietary .pla format. Instead it will just transfer the files and separate them into folders by artist/album, the .m3u playlists will not be automatically converted to .pla so they will not transfer. But you can convert .m3u playlists to .pla by using LJ Convert. First things first though! What firmware version is your T10 running and is it MTP or UMS? |
