cx 300 or e3c

Ive decided to upgrade my earphones to get better sound from my T10, since now im using sennheisers mx450, which i think cannot be regarded as ,,high-ends´´. So im choosing between these: sennheiser cx 300 and shure e3c/e2c. Yes, there is a pretty big difference in price, but as for QUALITY, im not sure at all. Some ppl say there is no bass in shures, and some say tha lack of bass is caused by the bad usage. I dont require exceptionally strong bass, but I think there should be some. Of course I require overall sound quality, not only a good bass. Do u have any experience with both of them? If so, Id appreciate some advice.

i'd go for the cx 300's. I use them whenever travelling with my clix.

The main selling point is that they are very minimalistic in design. Basically all there is is the speaker 'blub' then a rubbery part to protect the wire. Very good for travelling and also very durable.

cons of the cx 300's are that they don't come with cases (however you don't really need them) and that the wire is a bit short and sends tugging sounds into your ears if they're tugged in any way while you use them.

Yes, it helped. Thank you. I have also checked all the forums once again, and found that most ppl really prefer the senns, for the reason I mentioned in my first thread. And I also guess that CXs will be more comfortable, since I dont need to stick them so deep into my ear. Maybe Ill also buy senns px100, but Im not all sure yet.

they're also quite good. my mate james uses them. however you need to consider what kind if user you are.

I carry my clix in my pocket all day so i prefer ear buds. However he just packs up his ipod and puts his px100 into its carry case.

the px100 sounds better i think, however it's hard to tell.

Thx for your advice, but I forgot to ask you about the cable length. I know that the right cable is longer than the left one. Isnt it uncomfortable? I also suppose that you have to put the longer cable around your neck. How do you feel?

i prefer the neck chain variants of ear buds. I listen to music when i work in the library (final year at school) so then i don't get distracted by anyone. They're handy because you can hang them off your shoulders when you're not using them.

i find that with the regular Y shaped earbuds i have no where to put them when i'm in a situation where i need to stop listening for a moment but am going to start listening again soon. if you know what i mean...

my main problem with the cx300 earbuds is that they're a bit short. I'm only 171cm and putting my clix in my pocket usually leaves a small amount of wire which is slack.

I only found two drawbacks on CX300 (which I've been using for few months already):
1. short wires - you can't carry your player in lower pockets
2. asymetrical wires - even worse, the right wire is twice as long as it should be (at least in my case)

If you can live with these (I can) then I guess you'll be pleased with your CX300s (as I am).

Two suggestions for the CX300:
1. Run the wires over the top of and behind the ears. This helps eliminate microphonics, i.e. noise from tugging the wires.
2. Run the longer right hand wire behind the head.

yeah... i suppose but i'll have to rebut that:
1. you'll look like a complete tool if you do that.
2. that's blatantly obvious! it's just that some people don't realise what "neck chain" means.

2. Yes, its unsusual to run the wires over the top of and behind the ears, but see that many earphones are constructed to be used in this way-e.g. Shure or Ultimate Ears super.fi 3.

nah i kid. just do what you want however i do find it strange that some people people don't know how those ear buds are designed to be worn.
