Does the T10 support jpeg files, and txt files? ones embedded in mp3s?

No, .bmp files only. Check the T10 manual for full instructions on exactly how the .bmp files must be formatted and exactly how to transfer and view them on the T10. If you don't have a printed T10 manual you can get one in printable .pdf form from iriver's web site under product support.

No text file support. You can use the T10 to store .txt files and transfer them to another computer, however T10 cannot display the content of .txt files.

If by "embedded in mp3s" you mean album art, then no, T10 does not support album art. If by text "embedded in mp3s" you mean ID3 tags then yes, T10 supports and will display text that is part of a media file in the form of a file tag. You can display files either by tag info or file name, check the manual for how. (Default is to display tag info, but you can change it in options to display file name instead if you prefer.)
