You bought your T10---now what?!?
I invite others now to give their viewpoints on where they go to put content on their D.A.P's.
Perhaps you can offer others some of your suggestions as to good sources for new music. Last edited by Sesquash : May 11th, 2007 at 05:07 PM. Reason: Time for someone else to have the floor. |

You described a subscription service as the equivalent of petrol for you DAP, so you're saying you can't use your DAP without it. These are the same flawed analogies you've used in the past. On top of that, your thread title reads like it's a guide for new owners. It's grossly misleading. |

You admit yourself you likened a subscription service to petrol, so how exactly you can then turn around and argue that it's not misleading to have done so is beyond me. Quote:
I never read as far as the TV part but we both know a TV doesn't require cable in the same way a car requires petrol, so it's not misleading in the same way. Your opinion 'stands', your logic is questionable. |

What's Jenny got to do with anything?

Nothing you've written here is new, nor did it really require a new thread. Your analogy, not mine. Quote:
For someone who comes out with comments about reading other people's posts, you might try and read mine - I said that the whole TV/cable analogy was better than the car/petrol one: Quote:

In the UK, cable is fairly uncommon. For a start, there's free-to-air digital channels and satellite TV is the most common form of paid subscription. Quote:
No-one's arguing that it's new. Quote:
Also, trying to imply that there might be something wrong with me for not having cable TV doesn't really do much for your arguments. Quote:
The car can't run without petrol but a DAP or a TV can work without either a subscription or cable. Quote:

That is patently false. A subscription-based music service is merely one choice, that doesn't automatically make it the better choice. It may suit your needs and/or circumstances but that doesn't mean it's for everyone. |

If you can't see that some of your phrases give the impression that a subscription is the only answer or that it is somehow a better choice, then you shouldn't be using those phrases. Quote:
