Radio not working

I've got a T10 in Canada. I upgraded the firmware the other day to v1.73. I noticed today that the radio doesnt work anymore. Not only does it not work, when you select it the player freezes. You cant do anything but take out the battery to reset it. I have tried numerous times to upgrade the firmware again and try to corrcect the problem, set everything back to default, format, change the battery. I have no clue. Can anyone be of any help?? This is driving me insane.

Swiss, the v1.73 firmware file could be corrupted. Find and upgrade to v1.76.

Your problem might then vanish.

Well, you can actually go back to any prior version of the firmware by dropping (dragging) the prior firmware file into your main T10 root directory. The window that first opens up to show you the T10's content.

Make sure you have a FRESH, NEW battery before you start to drag and drop into the window. Then disconnect your USB cable, and cycle off and on your T10.

Your firmware upgrade screen should come up and then do not touch anything until your T10 shuts itself off and goes dark. Wait 30 seconds and then turn back on your T10.

You will then need to reset all your personal preferences. Use SYS INFO screen to verify that you have gone back to your previous choice in firmware.

I know that this works because I have gone back a few times in A/B testing firmware.

I am most happy with the current 1.76, and have left my T10 as that.

Hope this helps,

Sesquash

Do you by any chance have or know where I can get my hands on a previous version? I tried to find a v1.70. But when I flashed it, the sys info said it was still v1.76. I'm really not sure. I mean everything works fine, it records but the radio just freezes. I cant search for a station, or hear a thing. Very bizarre. Thanks again.

Sesquach, thanks a lot for all the help. I tried that firmware a few days ago and it turned out to be v1.76. Not sure why its labeled v1.70. This is why its so frustrating. I cant find an old version of the firmware and it doesn't seem like anyone else has had this problem. Or even heard of it??? I'm getting to the point where I guess the only other thing to do is email iriver. Maybe they can send me a flash or something.

The only other thing I can think would have happened is that a button was pushed during an upgrade?? Could this cause a problem, or would a reinstal of the firmware fix that?

You are welcome. I would imagine that if you did another successful firmware upgrade sequence, that would take care of any anomalies.

Here's hoping!

Try this link...
