t10.hex 1.76 UMS - where/how?

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to create some themes, etc. for my T-10.

I bought the device as an MTP device, then converted it to a UMS device using the Iriver 1.76 updater utility thing.

It's working great now without issue. However, I'd like to play with the screens. I've downloaded the H3mod program, but I where do I get the t10.hex file???

It doesn't seem to just be on the player... Am I missing something simple?

This site links to the official iriver firmware server. The problem is to find the
correct version for your player... T10P is for pure, the version without radio.
Then there is the region in the identifier. But apart from that, it's always a
bit of an experiment which of the dozens of T10 downloads is for you. As far
as I know, the T10 simply doesn't recognise wrong types of firmware, so the
risk is low, but a little bit of risk always remains. Maybe you can post the
exact specs of your player and someone with the same unit knows which
firmware is guaranteed to work. Is there a T10.sys file on your player? It would
be in the root folder. That one contains information about the current firmware
and may also help to choose the proper update.

Nope - no .sys file in the root folder.

I have the t-10 with radio
F/w: v1.76 (origonally MTP, but changed to UMS with iriver updater 1.76)

If anybody can give me some idea of which firmware is for me - that would be great! There's about 30 versions on that site that might work....

What capacity does your player have? 2Gig, 1Gig?
What part of the world did you buy it from?

It's a 1 gig player, puchased in north america. (Canada, more specifically)


So, in list form:

- T-10
- 1 gig
- non-pure (has FM radio)
- 1.76
- UMS (converted from MTP with iriver updater - if that's relevant)
- North American

I'd suggest the T10 (UM/ENG). That's based on the fact that I have a 1G T10 without radio,
and the T10P (UM/ENG) did the trick for me.
