need some help with t30

hello everyone my buddy gave me his t30 to put some songs onto it and at first windows picked it up and asked me for a driver after about 20 minutes of screwing around with it i got xp to pick it up and recognize it but i wanna know how i can get it recognized as a usb mass storage device so i can drag and drop files onto the player the only way i can do it now is to use media player but i don't like using media player cause every time i use it to put songs on my mp3 player it either skips songs or puts 2 of the same song on it when i only want one

I assume your buddy is okay with you switching his player's protocol?

To get the firmware updater to see it, unplug any USb devices that shows up as a storage volume. (If it's an internal card reader, use the safely eject hardware tray icon.)
