Exclamation Help with T10!!!

Whenever I turn on my T10, it just starts an endless cycle of starting up and shutting down. I can't get to any menus, I only see the startup screen and then it shuts down and starts up again. The buttons do nothing, I have to take out the battery to stop it. Someone please tell me what's going on here, I don't know what happened or how to fix it.

Help has arrived. First how to fix, second WHY it is doing that.

The fix:

Take the battery out and CONNECT the USB cable from your computer to your T10. Put the battery back into your T10. With your computer running and at the desktop, NOW TURN ON YOUR T10. The USB connection will engage the DOCKING ROUTINE of your T10 and will override all else. You are half-way there.

Now open up WP10 or 11 (whichever one you have) and going to the SYNC menu, use FORMAT to remove whatever offending file is not allowing your T10 firmware to scan and sync the files in its memory.

Once you have formatted (cleared all files out of memory ((this does NOT remove your firmware, only the files you place on the unit)) ) you can then shut down Windows Player, and then disconnect your T10.

Success! You are out of the scan/death-loop. You will now be able to turn on your T10 and after it does its file scan will tell you NO FILES IN MEMORY or something to that effect, and stay on. Use this trick anytime you have this happen to you again. Save this message onto your desktop.

You can now try again to sync your files, and be mindful of what file was corrupted that might have not allowed the T10 to successfully complete its initialization scan at the start of every turn-on sequence.

I might add...make it a habit to ALWAYS put in a battery and/or use a battery with no more than half its remaining life used up as seen on the T10 power-remaining bar graph when syncing and or upgrading your firmware. To do with less as a 'safe' buffer is playing with fire. A totally NEW battery for critical firmware updating is VERY CHEAP INSURANCE against turning your beloved T10 or T'X' player into a brick.....very cheap insurance....
Cheers!
