Question T30 firmware 1.71 vs 1.60 (sound quality)
Is 1.60 UMS firmware best in sound quality than 1.71 firmware for T30? Somebody says that the 1.60 firmware has louder sound. Wich is the better quality firmware? Is there is any sound quality difference between UMS and MTP?

Can anybody send me a 1.60 T30 UMS Pure US firmware? I want to test myself. My e-mail is elduendemirande@gmai l.c om

Presumably the louder sound issue comes from the European version of the firmware whereby sound output levels are limited due to a European law to protect peoples hearing.

I do not believe that the US version is afflicted - as there is not a similar law in the US...

Of course this won't affect sound quality in any way, just loudness...


However, it could also be an update to the SRS-WOW software that changes the output sound quality - I have no idea about that, maybe someone else here does?

My question is about US firmwares, and differences between 1.60 and 1.71 firmwares. They are the same in sound quality and sound power?

For those interested, I have finally found the 1.60 firmware. I have tested 1.71 and 1.60 with adobe audition and they are the same in sound quality.
