T20/T30 Line-in or Mic-in???

On my IFP-999 the line in was able to power my mics even though it was labled line-in.

Do any T20/30 owners know if the line-in has the same functionality or have they downgraded it.. the type of mic for recording i use is:

http://www.microphonemadness.com/pro...igsencars1.htm

Also its is not clear if the T30/20 can record at 320k using line-in?

Can these recordings easily then be uploaded like on my old 999?

Line-in bitrates are 128-256-320, so yes, line-in goes that high. The recordings can be easily copied via drag'n'drop, especially if you use the UMS firmware.

As for the microphone, I don't think the Tx0 supplies any current to the line-in... so the one you are using would require an additional battery pack for that. I might be completely wrong though.

flash based line-in or mic in recorder is a holy grail for me.
I can't find any significant article or discussion on this topic.
and I don't know if this is the right thread, but what the heck.
can anybody point me to a detailed discussion of real-life live recording on flash devices that would enable me to make a decision??
thanks.

to respond to myself, it looks like the only flash based mic-in concert recording unit is the iriver ifp-7xxx, 8xxx series. which are rare as hen's teeth, apparently.

until I get definitive and rave reviews of any live recordings of rock music made with any flash player, I'll still use my trusty ol' H320.
