try using drag and drop if you have v1.71 firmware which is UMS.

well it appears i am making some progress, with wmp closed and using "my computer" i can open the window and copy some mp3 files from my d drive into the "media\music" folder on the T10, however some files copy, with others i get a "error while copying, file either does not exist or is in use". Any ideas what may be happening here. I have registered my player online and was hoping to download the iriver2_setup_full(2 600).zip software package, but i can't seem to succeed at that either, (-:
any more help would be appreciated, thanks

Try MediaMonkey. I was having the same problem and got tired of messing with it. Did the trick for me!

Jack, i've been trying to do the conversion, but can get it to work. i've downloaded the package from this site, h**p://www.mtp-ums.net/index-old.php
i don't know what i am doing wrong, i've placed the renamed hex file in the data folder but it won't work, it still continues to show up as "mtp". any help would be appreciated. (-:
